Hi, I’m Tolani, your garbage disposal expert. One major but highly unspoken concern many people have in a home is how to dispose of garbage properly and safely. There are so many laws and guidelines for it, and it’s easy to get confused.
When I moved out of my parent’s house, I took a bunch of things I didn’t need and had to throw them away. They ranged from a vintage couch (that didn’t look so great after all) to some pills and empty plastic containers. The problem was that I had no clue how to dispose of them, so I did what any sane person would.

A ton of research.
I had a lot of questions:
- How do I get rid of furniture?
- How do I dispose of unfinished pills?
- How do I dispose of torn underwear? (TMI? Sorry!)
I found my answers and I created this blog as a way to share them with you. Over the years, I’ve gotten better at disposing of garbage in a way that is safe for the environment.
Did I mention that I’m also pretty interested in all the garbage disposal gadgets I can lay my hands on? Asides from disposing of waste, I’ve had to deal with the occasional defect with my kitchen sink garbage disposal. My biggest lesson is that a hex wrench is a garbage disposal user’s best friend.

Disposing of things can be stressful, but I’m here to help.
I’ve spent a lot of time disposing garbage and helping people with theirs. I’m an expert at disposing of things safely, and I know the right people to call when I can’t dispose of certain garbage myself.
